Publishing Questions

FTP or HTTP ?

If you are publishing to a server that does not have extensions enabled, then FP will detect this, and prompt you to publish via FTP instead of HTTP.

However, if you are publishing to a server that does have extensions enabled, then it is strongly recommended that you publish via HTTP. The use of FTP in this case, would corrupt the extensions, and would require to to contact your ISP to re-install them on your web.

FTP can be used in conjunction with an Extensions Enabled Web, but it requires extensive knowledge of what you can, and cannot transfer via FTP.
